Целью работы являются исследования, направленные на выявление опасных участков р. Терек на территории Кабардино-Балкарской Республики, подверженных затоплению населенных пунктов и их инфраструктуры. Проведены натурные маршрутные обследования с изучением основных параметров русла р. Терек. Выявлены 3 опасных участка береговой линии р. Терек, где размыв (износ) грунтовой дамбы с железобетонной облицовкой составляет от 50 до 100%. По причине размыва дамбы в паводковый период водами р. Терек затапливаются 4 населенных пункта: с.Плановское, г. Терек, с. Интернациональное и с. Урожайное. Данные полевых работ использованы при расчетах по определению максимальных расходов воды 1%-ной обеспеченности и высоты уровня воды в створах русла р. Терек. По результатам проведенных расчетов определены границы зон затопления территорий населенных пунктов. Вычислены площади затопления водами р. Терек для всех четырех населенных пунктов, а также общая площадь затопления на территории Кабардино-Балкарской Республики. //The aim of the work is research aimed at identifying dangerous sections of the river Terek on the territory of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic exposed to flooding of localities and their infrastructures. There were carried out full-scale route surveys to study the main parameters of the Terek riverbed. There were identified three dangerous sections of the Terek riverbed where erosion (wear) of an earth dam with a reinforced concrete lining is from 50 to 100%. Due to the erosion of the dam during the flood period by the river Terek water four settlements are flooded: town Terek, villages Planovskoye, Internatsionalnoye and Urozhaynoye. Field work data were used in calculations to determine the maximum water flow rate of 1% availability and the height of the water level in the riverbed Terek. Based on the results of the calculations, the boundaries of the flooding zones of the territories of settlements were determined. The areas of flooding by the Terek river water were calculated for all four settlements, as well as the total flooded area in the territory of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic.
