В сельском хозяйстве основа суверенитета это, прежде всего, обеспечение страны собственными семенами своих сортов. В статье излагаются узкие места в организации селекции в стране и взгляды автора на пути ее улучшения, основанные на его опыте и эксперименте по селекции ярового тритикале. Сделан вывод о необходимости создания в стране государственной корпорации по селекции, ввиду особой значимости этой науки для существования государства./The problem of providing the population with food is always relevant. The article outlines the bottlenecks in the organization of breeding in the country and the author's views on ways to improve it, based on his experience and experiment in breeding spring triticale. It is concluded that it is necessary to create a state corporation for breeding in the country due to the special importance of this science for the existence of the state.
