Annotation
This study used cluster and principal component analysis to characterize spike yield traits in soft winter wheat hybrids. PCA identified four components explaining 94.67% of variance, with PC1 reflecting grain productivity and fertility as most dominant. Cluster analysis grouped genotypes into two: cluster one with superior spike productivity and fertility, and cluster two prioritizing spike length but with lower grain weight and fertility, indicating distinct yield strategies.
