Russian scientists (Moscow State University – Larin, Syvorotkin, etc.) have discovered the phenomenon of endogenous hydrogen leakage from the Earth's interior not only in the crustal fracture zones in the oceans, but also on land (diffuse leakage of deep hydrogen). "Ozone holes" may form over these territories and ultraviolet radiation (UVR) may increase. In the process of interaction of deep hydrogen with organic matter of the soil, changes in the humus composition, soil pH (Moscow State University – Sukhanova, Kiryushin) and, possibly, changes in the soil biotic community may occur. (Links to these and other works are placed in a specially issued Bibliographic collection "Land reclamation affected by endogenous hydrogen") - http://elib.timacad.ru/dl/full/s10062024Vod_degaz.pdf/download/s10062024Vod_degaz.pdfAs a result of chemical and biological interaction of hydrogen with soil, the structure of the pore space of the soil can change and, as a consequence, the water-physical properties of the soil can change. This, for example, can negatively affect the results of irrigation of agricultural crops. To increase attention to the processes of preservation and formation of pore space, the concept of "SOIL RESERVOIRS" was introduced. The corresponding article in the journal "Land Reclamation and Water Management" No. 1, 2025, is located at the link - https://www.elibrary.ru/download/elibrary_82407798_84235665.pdfThe study of the processes of reformation of the pore space (volumes of soil reservoirs) under the influence of hydrogen must also be carried out at the microscopic level. In this regard, the Problem Laboratory and the Institute of Thermonuclear Research of Rosatom tested the use of an X-ray microscope to analyze microscopic changes in the biological structure of the pore space. https://www.elibrary.ru/item.asp?id=49304945.
